We recently called for a time of fasting at The Life Church. There was a time not so long ago that when a fast was called the only option was food. People fasted food, period dot. These days computers, mysapce, internet, music, ipods, video games, ESPN, Starbucks, diet pepsi, Rock star etc. These are now all common sacrafices of choice in a time of fasting. Hear me now there is nothing wrong with these prayerfuly chosen objects of sacrafice i'm simply suggesting that this is a sign of our times.
